Flux EP

A 4 track urban folk ep (17m 48s) — released September 17th 2012 on Jack To Phono

As a teenager in West Wales Harry Keyworth wasn't that keen on school. In fact he used to sneak off into the stables for a snooze in full school uniform rather than catch the bus that his parents thought he was safely aboard. Eventually though it was his own determination to change his life that won him a scholarship to Christ College Brecon in 2001 and enabled him to start studying music. After leaving that school in 2005 Harry decided not to go on to university, but instead work as a labourer on a Pembrokeshire building site in order to earn money to work on his music. Anyone who has heard Harry's music will applaud his decision. His talent does not require a university degree certificate to reach an audience. Harry is naturally gifted and just enjoying his journey, gathering friends and fans along the way.

Within weeks of Harry finally recording his first songs at Mwnci Studio in West Wales it was clear to all who heard that Harry has something special. After being seen at just his second live gig he was invited to perform at an event at the Brighton Centre alongside a line up of Adam Ant and Squeeze's Tilbrook and Difford, celebrating the 40thAnniversary of the Old Grey Whistle Test hosted by the TV show's original presenter 'Whispering' Bob Harris from BBC Radio 2. Gibson Guitars heard Harry perform at that event and invited him to their exclusive artist showroom in London to sample some of their rarest collections. Still only on his first few gigs, Harry is developing a strong following of music fans who love his sound and style, particularly his live guitar work. We hope you enjoy the EP and his live performances at a venue near you soon.

It's evident we are witnessing the dawning of a significant talent - Adam Walton BBC Wales

If this song is anything to go by, he is extraordinarily talented. A world class vocal (slightly reminiscent in parts of Wild Beasts meets Jose Gonzalez) sits over nice production, and the song seems as though it wouldn’t be out of place on a national radio playlist - Tom Robinson BBC Introducing
