Roll Call
A 2 track beats & breaks single (9m 7s) — released February 27th 2006 on Jack To Phono
Emerging from a six year residency at 'Across The Trax' in Huddersfield's Camel Club, Eddie Skratch, DC and Marc Kershaw (The Underground Set) joined forces in 2002 to form the Random Heroes project. Having already dropped beats on the fantastic Freestyle label, alongside their own Shove It! imprint, the 'boys from the hudd ' drop their first single on Jack to Phono and the first release of 2006 for this fine label.
Breaks, breaks and more breaks are the order of the day here on this jam-packed b-boy friendly party tackle. Featuring a gravel voiced aural eulogy to the power of the drums, 'Roll Call' adds a killer rolling bassline, disco percussion and a full on stereo breakdown. More heavy breaks occur blending hammond organ lines and a cracking military drum section complete with cut up army chants! More of the same on the flip as we find some rock guitar licks, bubbling bass and deft trickanology. Essential new beats!'
